Gallery - The velvet revolution

On November 17, 1989, I and my friend Marketa were standing on Národní třída. I had an old Leica in my hands, but the film got jammed inside. No good luck in photographing that day.

On the other hand, it was the day on which the communist regime began to collapse, the day we had been losing hope for. I took photos on
the days to follow as if I was sprinkled with elixir for life. And then it came, the communists gave up on November 24, and I was standing in Laterna
Magica full of journalist and took a photograph of Havel and Dubče kat the moment when Jiří Černý brought the great news.

About a million people came to Letná and we were free after forty years. The colossus with feet of clay collapsed.
